Records of the Davenport, Peters Co., a Boston-based lumber company founded in 1811. Included are historical materials; business records including correspondence, product and price lists, credit correspondence, financial records, and legal documents; and scrapbooks containing materials dating from 1876-1989. Bound volumes in the collection include the letterbook of Edward D. Peters & Co., the company's first name until its liquidation in 1877 due to financial difficulties, kept from 1876-81, board of director and stockholder records, and ledgers.
